About Bailey
Bailey Van Tassel(@baileyvantassel) is a heritage kitchen garden and estate designer, leading a nationwide team out of Nashville, Tennessee. She is the author of the well-loved gardening book, Kitchen Garden Living, as well as a weekly Substack, Tended.
Bailey believes all outdoor spaces are an extension of the home, and should be treated as such. She blends permaculture and luxury design principles to bring to life gorgeous growing havens. Bailey loves to share her gardening skills online, as well as her personal story of growing up on a farm, ending up reluctantly in suburbia, and then returning to her country roots. She gardens with her three young children and husband beside her, believing that living seasonally and staying grounded to the natural world is vitally important to creating a meaningful life, no matter where you are.
